Welcome to Brain Rot IRL — what we're actually building
A free, browser-based AR meme-catching game for the chronically online. Here's the whole pitch.
The five-word version Touch grass, catch meme creatures.
The longer version Brain Rot IRL is a free augmented-reality game that runs entirely in your phone's web browser. No App Store install. No $40 starter pack. No gacha mechanics. You open it on your phone, allow location access, and start walking to catch Rotmons — original, parody-inspired creatures riffing on the chaos of internet brain rot.
We grew up on monster-catching games and graduated to doomscrolling. We wanted something that pulls us back outside without forcing us to download yet another bloated app. Web tech got good enough that an AR game can ship as a website. So we shipped one.
Why "Rotmons" instead of a known IP Our creatures are originals: Sigma Tabby, Skibidi Toilet, Tralalero Tralala, Bombardiro Crocodilo, Mewing Kid, Cappuccino Assassino, Ballerina Cappuccina, OK I Pull Up Capy, and dozens more across four rarity tiers. They riff on viral meme energy without copying any single creator or studio's character. The site has a full IP disclaimer in the footer — we are not affiliated with anyone you might recognize.
What you can do right now - Catch over 80 Rotmons across Common, Rare, Legendary and Limited tiers - Sync your dex to the cloud with a one-tap Google sign-in - Complete three daily quests for streak rewards - Battle other trainers (coming soon)
What's next We ship new Rotmons within the same week a new meme goes viral. Sign in, start your dex, and check the news page weekly for patch notes.
